David completed his PhD from Harvard University. Before joining Harvard for his PhD in Philosophy, David studied Mathematics at Haverford College and Philosophy at Pembroke College, The University of Oxford. David’s teaching has been recognized with the Derek C. Bok Award and his research with the Bechtel Prize at Harvard. David studies norms of inquiry and bounded rationality. He wants to know how agents like us with limited cognitive resources and abilities should figure out what to do and believe.
