Ilona completed her DPhil from Oxford University in Political Sociology. Her research focus lies in comparative political behavior to assess patterns in people's voting behavior and policy preferences, with a heavy focus on research methods. Prior to her PhD Ilona studied History and Social Sciences at the University of Tampere, Sciences Po Paris and the Ecole de Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
